Why RideCHE

Price per car

One fixed price for the whole car — for 4–7 people with skis it often compares well with train tickets.

Door to door

No changes with luggage: from arrivals to your hotel or to the Täsch terminal for Zermatt.

Licensed drivers

We hand-pick licensed drivers and partner carriers, preferring drivers with experience in tourism.

Honest about prices

Trains are cheaper for one or two people, and our prices are above many listed transfers — we say so on the pages.

Questions

Is a private transfer in Switzerland cheaper than the train?

For one or two people, no — the train is cheaper. For 4–7 people with ski bags the car can come close, and it goes door to door without changes.

Can you drive to Zermatt?

Zermatt is car-free; we drive to Täsch (Matterhorn Terminal), and the shuttle train takes 12 minutes to Zermatt.

How do we pay?

Pay 50% online to confirm, the rest in cash to the driver — or pay 100% online. Trips under $100 are paid in full online. Full refund if cancelled 24h+ before pickup (multi-day trips: 7+ days before the start).

Are mountain railways included?

No — mountain railway, cable car and shuttle tickets are bought separately.

For travellers from Russia

How do I pay if my Russian bank card does not work abroad?

The online payment (50% or 100%) works only with cards that work abroad. If yours does not, book on WhatsApp or by email and pay the driver in cash (Swiss francs, euros or US dollars) — same price.

Does the driver speak Russian?

The standard driver speaks English and German (French around Geneva). A Russian-speaking driver is free on request when one is available for your dates; we confirm it at booking.

What documents do Russian citizens need for Switzerland?

Entry rules depend on citizenship and change — check before you travel: UK FCDO — Switzerland entry requirements and SEM — State Secretariat for Migration: entry requirements by nationality (links checked 2026-10-22).
